Dissent is a jig-saw of semi-casual, serious and ex-hardcore raiders who have a passion for clearing content, but are unwilling to sacrifice the other aspects of their life to do so.
The majority of our members are professional or studying adults with jobs, families and ‘real life’ commitments outside of WoW. Ultimately, Dissent is suited to the mature gamer. We believe that real life and progressive raiding can be balanced with impressive results.
We strive to clear as much content as possible within a light raiding schedule.

The Lowdown

While progression and success are important to us, unlike many other guilds we endeavor to remain focused on the individual players that call Dissent home . We hope to monitor and develop their skills in a fashion that is non-hostile and supportive while still driving people to push themselves and their level of game play.
In the 3 years, Dissent has built an extremely strong, tight-knit and dedicated core of raiders. Any addition we make to our guild in the forthcoming expansion must gel with us on every level.

WHO ARE WE?

We are a casual raiding guild that’s ideally suited to mature/adult raiders – people who choose to balance a serious hobby with an active ‘real life’.

We are a fairly tight-knit guild that have been together for over a  2.5 years, with some of our raiders having played together prior to that. For a more in-depth look at our guild culture and history, please read through the  About and Raiding Info sections of this website.

OUR RAIDING SCHEDULE

Monday/Weds/Thurs / 8pm – 11pm ST

You are expected to be online and available for the duration of the raid. All raiding times are reflective of Barthilas server time (GMT+10)

When applying to the guild, please include if you are unavailable to raid certain days or times.

APPLYING TO DISSENT

To submit an application, you must sign up to the website and do so via the the forums.

Please DO NOT contact the officers during our raid times – we simply can’t answer your questions to to the best of our ability nor is it fair to our raid team.

Please DO NOT faceroll your application – while it can be a little time consuming, giving us the information we need to decide if you are a good fit for our guild will ultimately save you time and frustration in the future!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for mature players (18+) that understand real life does take preference to gaming BUT still consider end-game raiding a serious hobby. Though we are a casual raiding guild, the word ‘casual’ does not give people a free pass to perform poorly, be tardy or absent on a regular basis or generally disregard basic raiding expectations and etiquette.

We expect all applicants to have:
  • An excellent knowledge and understanding  of your class and chosen raid role.
  • Experience with previous raid content, heroic raid encounters or raiding meta achievements
  • The dedication and desire to perform to the best of their ability and drive to help others do the same.
  • Maxed trade skills – while 2 optimal raiding professions are preferred, 2 max skill trade professions ARE required.
  • Having a max level, geared ALT character that you can play well is not required, but applicants with a raid-ready ALT will always take preference over those who don’t.
  • Last but not least, your personality MUST gel with ours. We are always welcoming to new people, but it is definitely encouraged that trial members make the effort to get to know their fellow raiders.
