Last night it was a pleasure to be present for the completion of Naow’s legendary daggers. Dissent is building up quite an arsenal of awesome legendary weapons and only the most  bad-ass raiders amongst us possess them!

Completing legendaries is always such a fun event – it gets the entire guild excited and really justifies why we spend as much time killing imaginary pixels as we do. Though at the end of the day, a legendary may seem to be just a fancy weapon that gives a lucky raider an edge,  it definitely represents so much more than that – to both the wielder and also to the guild they are a part of. Wielding and creating a legendary is a testament to dedication, hard work and recognizing the amazing individuals that make up our raid team. Even if they have odd accents and even stranger taste in fashion:

Damn it feels good to be a Gangsta…

While both our rogues are amazing players and people, Naow was the standout choice for the first set of daggers for many reasons. Like many of our prior legendary recipients, Naow is everything you’d hope a raider to be. He blitzs meters, he never misses a raid, he is polite and calmly spoken, intelligent and insightful with his input and above all, a drama-free individual that is a lot of fun to raid with. Also, I’d like to share with the newer members that only know Naow as a rogue, that his foray into the world of melee DPS only began in Cata! Before that he was our resident shadow priest and equally as amazing at caster DPS!

Myself and I’m sure many other’s would agreee that this veteran player is  a favorite in guild and someone you can always rely on – whether it be for amazing damage, nailing annoying mechanics or simply to have a laugh with/at over pronounciation and the fact his native bird can’t actually fly.

Naow is definitely one of the building block raiders that helped shape Dissent into the guild it is today, he has stuck by us through the numerous shitty times and been present for all of the memorable ones.
I’m extremely glad that we were able to reward his skills and dedication as a guild. Congratulations Naow, it’s been a pleasure to raid with you and I can’t wait to see what you do with those daggers!
